This system is designed and built by Solar Illuminations to order as a custom or semi-custom system, as per your requirements. This includes the nightly illumination time.
This professional, solar powered sign light system is supplied complete with either three or four weatherproof LED linear light bars. These fixtures are offered in 5 Watt (450 lumens) or 10 Watt (900 lumens) LED power. Each fixture provides a 150 degree wide angle beam. This system is supplied complete and ready to install, with the light bars, a metal lockable battery enclosure, a MPPT charge controller, a solar panel along with mounting brackets, and two 12 Volt rechargeable batteries. The size of the solar panel and batteries will vary based on the quantity and wattage of the light bars, desired illumination time, and installation location. Please refer to the zone map and system options table to determine the appropriate system for you. The battery box can be locked with a padlock (not supplied), and is fitted with outlets for the lamps and solar panel to easily connect to. The system will automatically turn on at sunset and illuminate until the programmed amount of time. The charge controller can be programmed to illuminate from dusk to dawn, turn off after a certain amount of hours, or it can use a dual timer option. The dual timer allows the light to activate at dusk and illuminate for X hours, switch off, and then turn back on for X hours prior to sunrise. The solar panel and light fixtures are supplied with several feet of cable so that they can be installed a distance away from the battery box if required. The entire is system is simple plug & play installation. Color of product is white. Color of other parts of the system are gray. Color of light output is white.
Perfect for use where electricity is unavailable or where it is too expensive to install, or for sites where an environmentally friendly solution to sign lighting is required. This system can be used for numerous types of signs, notice boards, information kiosks, site boards, directional signs and traditional signage. It can be wall mounted or installed within signage such as box signs, cabinet signs, trough signs and other similar applications.

Light Fixture
Supplied with three or four weatherproof LED linear light bar fixtures.

The LED light bars are replaceable if required and have a typical lifespan of over 50,000 hours.
The weather resistant LED light bars have approx. 25' (7.5m) of pre-wired cable which is pre-plugged ready for easy connection to the battery box.
The LED light bars are weather rated to I.P 65. and are supplied with mounting brackets.
The LED light bar is approx. 39" x 1" x 1" (100cm x 2.5cm x 2.5cm) LxWxD.
Battery Box
A remote battery box is supplied to accommodate the batteries.
The battery box has a hinged lid which is lockable (padlock not included).
The battery box has an integral battery shelf and also houses the charge controller.
The battery box also has sockets for LED light bar to be connected.
The battery box size is based on required battery capacity.

Battery
24 Volt dc system.
Supplied with two, high capacity, deep cycle 12 Volt AGM batteries.
Gel or lithium batteries available upon request.
Battery capacity will depend on quantity and wattage of light bars, and desired illumination time.
Battery capacity options are 18AH, 32AH, 55AH, 79AH, 92AH, 105AH, 198AH and 245AH.
Batteries must be connected together in series.
Solar Panel
Aluminum framed, tempered glass solar panel included.
Size and quantity of solar panel will depend on system specifications and installation location.
Approx. 18' (5.5m) of pre-wired connection cable is supplied and attached to the battery box for connection to the solar panel.
Solar panel extension cables available upon request.
Mounting triangles are supplied to allow for installation to flat vertical or horizontal surfaces.

Charge Controller
Supplied with a MPPT charge controller which automatically controls the solar panel power, battery charging and lighting function and operation.
The MPPT charge controller is typically 30% more efficient than standard PWM controllers and 10% more efficient to most other MPPT controllers.
Additional efficiency for cloudy weather and during times of reduced sun radiation.
Provides extended battery life and extra protection against excessive battery discharge and overcharge.
The controller is sized to the system specifications with 10A and 15A versions available (subject to solar panel wattage and battery capacity).
Pre-programmed software for load output, dusk to dawn lighting, single timed lighting, dual timed lighting, dimming option and the ability of interfacing with motion detection, where required.
This MPPT charge controller is programmed by Solar Illuminations as per your requirements and system ability.
Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Supports real time data monitoring (iPhone, Android, Mac or PC) with optional interface and/or Bluetooth dongle.
Battery voltage 12/24V dc auto select.

Installation
Easy to install. All connections are simply plug & play.
Two special mounting frames are included to allow the solar panel to attach to a vertical or horizontal surface with two hole pre-drilled into each section of the frame.
A pair of triangle shaped support frames are supplied for the solar panel.

This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced. The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
