This system is designed and built by Solar Illuminations to order as a custom or semi-custom system, as per your requirements. This includes the nightly illumination time.
This solar powered sign light system consists of one or two weather proof LED linear light bars. Each LED light bar is offered with a choice of 5 Watt (450 lumen) or 10 Watt (900 lumen) LED power. Each fixture has a 150 degree wide angle beam pattern. Illumination times are dusk to dawn, up to 8 hours, or any other desired illumination time. The kit includes one or two light bars, two 12 Volt rechargeable batteries, a metal battery box, a MPPT charge controller, a solar panel, and mounting brackets. If dusk to dawn or 8 hours illumination required, refer to the zone map and system options table to determine the appropriate system for your location. The lockable battery box has outlets for the solar panel and light fixtures to connect to, and an on/off switch. The light will automatically illuminate at sunset and will stay illuminated until a programmed amount of time. The charge controller can be programmed to illuminate from dusk to dawn, turn off after a certain amount of hours, or it can use a dual timer option. The dual timer allows the light to activate at dusk and illuminate for X hours, switch off, and then turn back on for X hours prior to sunrise. The solar panel and light fixtures are supplied with several feet of cable, so they can be mounted away from the battery box if needed. The linear light bar’s low profile design enables it to be installed in the most restrictive places. They can be channel set into a new sign installation, or retro-fitted into an existing sign. Light Fixture

Battery
24 Volt dc system.
Two, high capacity, AGM 12V batteries are supplied as standard.
The required battery capacity will vary based on quantity and wattage of light bars, and desired illumination time.
Battery capacities are 18AH, 32AH, 55AH, 79AH, 92AH or 105AH.
Batteries must be connected together in series.
GEL and lithium options are available upon request.
Battery Box
A remote battery box is supplied to accommodate the batteries and charge controller.
The battery box has a hinged lid which is lockable (padlock not included).
The battery box has an integral battery shelf which houses the programmable control module.
The battery box contains two sockets for each light bar fitting, and one for the solar panel.

Solar Panel
Supplied with an aluminum framed, tempered glass solar panel.
The correct solar panel wattage must be selected depending upon your geographic location, quantity of LED light bars and the illumination time required.
Please refer to data sheet for solar panel dimensions.
Approx. 18' (5m) of pre-wired cable is supplied to connect to the battery box.
Solar panel extension cables are available upon request.
Control Module
Supplied with a MPPT charge controller which automatically controls the solar panel power, battery charging and lighting function and operation.
The MPPT charge controller is typically 30% more efficient than standard PWM controllers and 10% more efficient to most other MPPT controllers.
Additional efficiency for cloudy weather and during times of reduced sun radiation.
Provides extended battery life and extra protection against excessive battery discharge and overcharge.
Low voltage detection for automatic disconnect.
The controller is sized to the system specifications with 10A and 15A versions available (subject to solar panel wattage and battery capacity).
Pre-programmed software for load output, dusk to dawn lighting, single timed lighting, dual timed lighting, dimming option and the ability of interfacing with motion detection, where required.
This MPPT charge controller is programmed by Solar Illuminations as per your requirements and system ability.
Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Supports real time data monitoring (iPhone, Android, Mac or PC) with optional interface and/or Bluetooth dongle.

Installation
Easy to install. All connections are simply plug & play.
A pair of triangle shaped support frames are supplied for the solar panel.

The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
