This solar conversion kit includes a powerful LED light bulb complete with ES (E26/E27) bulb holder. This system can be programmed to illuminate from dusk to dawn or from dusk for a chosen amount of hours. Choice of LED bulb type available (round clear, round frosted, round filament, candle clear, candle frosted, candle filament, etc). Choice of LED power (lumen output) from 1W to 12W and above. Choice of LED color temperature (CCT) 2,700k, 3,000k, 4,000k, 5,000k, 6,000k etc.
This economical solar LED light bulb conversion kit comprises of an Edison (E26/E27) bulb holder that will accept a low-voltage 12V LED light bulb. The bulb holder can be installed within a light fixture such as a post light, wall light or other fixture. This system is designed to typically operate for the hours or times required. This kit is supplied with the light bulb and bulb holder, a weather proof battery enclosure, a preprogrammed charge controller, a 20 Watt solar panel, and a 12V rechargeable battery. The battery box is supplied with outlets for the solar panel and light fixtures to plug in to. When the system is connected the light will come on automatically at sunset and will stay illuminated until the set amount of time. The charge controller can be set in numerous options ranging from dusk till dawn, or illumination for a set number of hours after sunset or before sunrise. The solar panel and light fixture are supplied with several feet of cable, so they can be mounted away from the battery box if needed. The LED light bulb typically last for up to 20 years so there are no bulb changes. Color of most components are gray. Color of light output is white or warm white.
Typical Applications
Our solar LED light bulb conversion kit is perfect for sites where electricity is no longer available or where it would be too difficult or too costly to install an electric supply. They are also suitable for retro-fit applications where electrically powered fixtures need replacing. This system can be supplied to operate with your existing bulb holder(s) and thereby allowing a conversion to solar power (12V DC) instead.

The bulb holder is fitted with approximately 18' (5m) of pre-wired cable which is pre-plugged ready for easy connection to the battery box. Additional extension cable is available (upon request) as an option.
The LED light bulb dimensions are approx. 3" long x 1.5" diameter (8cm long x 3cm diameter) excluding the Edison screw section.
A surface mount bulb holder can be supplied instead of a cord hung version. Other bulb holders are available by special order.
Battery
One high capacity 12 Volt 12AH sealed lead acid battery is supplied as standard.
Large capacity battery options are available, as necessary and are subject to the installation site location, LED power, and hours or times of operation.
Battery type is AGM. Gel battery is available by special order.
Battery Box
A plastic weatherproof battery box is supplied to accommodate the battery.
The battery box has a removable front which is lockable (padlock not included).
The battery box also houses the charge controller controller.
The battery box is approx. 10.5" x 8" x 4.5" (27cm x 20cm x 12cm) LxWxD.
Solar Panel
High quality 20 Watt solar panel is included.

The solar panel is fitted with approximately 10' (3m) of cable/cord.
Additional cord is available as an optional extra.
The solar panel cord connects directly to the battery box.
The solar panel support is supplied with a fold-out 'U' shape bracket which can be used to mount it to a suitable surface.
The 20W solar panel dimensions approx. 22.5" x 14" x 1" (57cm x 36cm x 3cm) LxWxD.
Control Module
This system includes a MPPT charge controller which regulates and manages the solar panel power, battery power, and illumination time.
The controller has LED indicators to display status, and houses connections for solar panel, batteries, and lamp.
The charge controller must be pre-programmed prior to shipping unless the Smart controller is purchased.
Default setting is typically dusk to dawn (subject to environmental conditions).
The MPPT charge controller increases charging efficiency by 30% and provides more advanced light control options.

Remarks
20 year solar panel warranty, 5 year warranty on all other components (excluding bulb and batteries). Batteries are covered by the manufacturer*.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
