State of Florida Emergency Order 20-91 State-Wide Shelter-In-Place Order
Solar Illuminations currently remains open for business and we are continuing to communicate with customers by phone, email and chat. We are still manufacturing, processing and shipping orders nationwide. Please continue to support all American businesses in these difficult and uncertain times.
On Wednesday April 1, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis eventually issued Emergency Order 20-91 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the Order all non-essential commerce is suspended starting at 12:01 p.m. on April 3, 2020 and will be in effect until April 30, 2020. Executive order number 20-91 incorporates the list of essential business and services outlined in the March 19, 2020 Miami-Dade Emergency Order (referenced for the entire State of Florida). Solar Illuminations identifies and defines itself as being an industry associated with essential critical infrastructure workforce under one or more of the following five exemptions:
- Workers supporting the energy sector through renewable energy infrastructure (including, but not limited to wind, solar, biomass, hydrogen, ocean, geothermal, and/or hydroelectric), including those supporting construction, manufacturing, transportation, permitting, operation/ maintenance, monitoring, and logistics;
- Workers at renewable energy infrastructure (including, but not limited to wind, solar, biomass, hydrogen, geothermal, and/ or hydroelectric), including those supporting construction, manufacturing, transportation, permitting, operation/ maintenance, monitoring, and logistics;
- Workers who support the supply chain of building materials from production through application/installation, including cabinetry, fixtures, doors, cement, hardware, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, refrigeration, appliances, pain1/coatings, and employees who provide services that enable repair materials and equipment for essential functions;
- Workers supporting e-commerce through distribution, warehouse, call center facilities, and other essential operational support functions;
- Workers in hardware and building materials stores, consumer electronics, technology and appliances retail, and related merchant wholesalers and distributors -with reduced staff to ensure continued operations.
Our commitment to our customers is to maintain operations as an essential business in the State of Florida. It’s possible that some services may be limited for various reasons during this time.
All Solar Illuminations employees have all been briefed, numerous times, to comply with social distancing guidelines during their day-to-day activities. We eliminated all group meetings, sanitize the office regularly, and have made several process changes to support the CDC guidelines, including social distancing, proper sanitization, and not report to work with the Covid-19 symptoms.
