This custom solar billboard light system is engineered specifically for the billboard and outdoor advertising industry. Each system is custom designed and assembled at our USA headquarters located in SW Florida. Our billboard light fixtures incorporate the very latest in LED technology and feature special optics to uniformly illuminate the whole billboard surface from top to bottom and left to right. Depending on the dimensions of the billboard poster, this will determine the fixture quantity and the LED power. We offer a choice of LED power from 10W to 35W. Using highly efficient LEDs at 150lm/W we can offer an output of between 1,500 and 5,250 lumens. Our solar powered billboard systems are designed to illuminate a poster during the hours of darkness. Our systems can be customized to operate from dusk to dawn, on a single timed mode, or a dual timed mode. We supply this as a complete, ready-to-install solution. You should get everything you need including the LED light fixtures, mounting arms, metal lockable battery enclosure, programmable MPPT charge controller, powerful solar panels with mounting brackets, and two 12 volt AGM rechargeable batteries. Everything is designed to be quick and easy to install, with plug and play connections, and universal hardware. Our sophisticated MPPT charge controller operates at peak efficiencies greater than 95%, which is 30% more efficient than most conventional charge controllers (PWM). It also controls the lighting activation, offering unique illumination programmability. This allows you to get the most out of your allotted illumination time. With our charge controller, it can be programmed to automatically activate the lighting from dusk to dawn or timed mode(s) depending on your requirements. Dusk to dawn lighting may be an option for you. Otherwise, the lights can be programmed to turn on for say 6 , 7, or 8 hours after dusk and then turn off. Or perhaps turn on at dusk for several hours, turn off, then back on again for one or two hours before dawn. We supply the LED light fixtures and solar panels with plenty of cable, so that they can be quickly and easily installed on most sign structures without modification. As this is a custom-built solution, it can be designed as per your requirements. This includes the nightly illumination time. The system can be designed and pre-programmed to automatically operate at dusk and turn off at dawn all year round. This could be up to 15 hours or more allowing for the longest night of the year (December 21st). Or the system can be designed and pre-programmed to automatically to operate on a single or dual timed mode for 8 hours total. A single timed mode would provide automatic illumination at dusk for x number of hours and then turn off. A dual timed mode would provide automatic illumination at dusk for x number of hours, then turn off, then turn back on again for x number of hours before dawn. Other timed options and configurations are available upon request.
Please note, the specifications of the sign lighting system are determined by several factors. These factors include the geographic location of the installation site, the total LED power (Wattage), and the total number of hours of operation. It's these factors that determine the solar panel wattage and the battery capacities and some of the other components required to create the entire system.

This solar powered billboard light is designed to illuminate large format billboards or signs where conventional electricity is not readily available. Each fixture is designed to illuminate approximately 20’(6m) wide by 16’(5m) high. This system is designed to illuminate up to 60’(18m) wide by 16’(5m) high, or a triangular sided structure up to 20’(6m) wide by 16’(5m) high. Our systems are suitable for almost any sign/billboard application, single sided, double sided, or triangular types. Fixture
System includes three heavy duty 10W to 35W LED billboard light fixtures.
The LED power is determined by several factors including the billboard

Each lamp includes 48 Philips Lumiled Luxeon® LEDs, capable of producing
up to 150lm/W each.
Each fixture produces up to 5,250 Lumens.
IP68 weatherproof rating.
Each fixture includes approximately 9' (3M) of cable. Additional cable can be
supplied as an option.
Each fixture is supplied with a stainless steel mounting bracket which has a
female, 1.5" threaded receptacle/coupler.
The mounting bracket is approx. 7" x 5" x 2" (18cm x 13cm x 5cm)

Battery
This is a 24V DC system, which uses two 12v sealed lead acid, AGM or GEL type
rechargeable batteries.
This system is supplied with a pair of deep cycle AGM batteries specially
designed for solar applications. GEL or lithium batteries are available as an
option.
The battery capacity depends on several factors including total LED power,
nightly illumination time and/or geographic location.
The battery capacity will determine the cost of the system.
Dimensions depend on battery capacity.
Typical battery life is approximately 5 years, subject to environmental factors.
Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the
battery may discharge naturally on its own.
By allowing a battery to deep discharge may cause irreversible damage as the
battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
Periodic charging is always recommended when a product is not being used or
when the solar panel is disconnected.
For 24V systems, batteries must be connected together in series.

Box
A galvanized steel lockable battery box is supplied to accommodate the
rechargeable batteries and Control Module.
The battery box model number and dimension depend on several factors and will
be determined by the battery capacities required.
The battery box must be located nearby, or within the billboard / sign
structure for solar panel and light fixture connection.
The battery box has pre-drilled holes to enable secure installation.

This system includes one or more solar panels.
The solar panel quantity and wattage depend on several factors including total
LED power, nightly illumination time and/or geographic location.
The solar panel wattage will determine the cost of the system.
The solar panel is a highly efficient polycrystalline or monocrystalline array.
Dimension depend on solar panel wattage.

The solar panel(s) are supplied with triangular mounting hardware to mount to a
vertical or horizontal surface.

Control
Module
This system includes a MPPT charge controller (programmable control module)
which regulates and manages the solar panel power, battery power, and
illumination timer.
The compact control module has LED indicators to display status of input
connections for the solar panel, batteries, and output connections for the lamp.
Simple push button programming.
Accepts and controls GEL or AGM type sealed lead acid (VRLA) batteries.
Detects daytime and night time conditions via the solar panel.
Automatic adaption to ambient temperature conditions.

Single or dual timer mode options.
User programmable illumination time of up to 1 to 12 hours or dusk-to-dawn
setting (where conditions permit).
User or installer can set the control module to run from dusk and then shut off
after a certain amount of hours. For example from dusk for 4 hours then switch
off, or run from dusk for 6 hours then switch off.
The module can also be programmed to switch on at dusk for a chosen amount of
hours then switch off, then switch back on a chosen number of hours before dawn.
Instructions are supplied should the user or installer need to program or
re-program the module*.
Installation
This system is designed to be easy to install, with little solar or electrical
expertise required to complete the installation.
Triangular mounting frames are included to allow the solar panel to attach to a
vertical or horizontal surface.
An optional solar panel pole mount kit can be purchased.
Optional aluminum pole mount (NEMA 3R) battery boxes are also available by
special order.
Due to the variety of billboard and sign structures, we cannot guarantee that
all our hardware will accommodate your installation. You may need to make minor
modifications or purchase additional hardware.
