BC30 Solar LED Bollard Light

Our BC30 is a high quality, professional, commercial grade, solar bollard light. This unique, vandal resistant, bollard light fixture features several different operating modes to choose from. It incorporates a motion sensor and full cut-off LED optics. It's Dark Sky Approved (IDA Certified) and the only solar powered bollard light in the USA with such approval. 

Our top quality, solar powered bollard light fixture is made of cast aluminum. It's a vandal resistant design with features unlike any other solar bollard on the market at this time. This large solar bollard light stands 35.5" (90cm) tall and with a 4.5" (11.5cm) diameter main body. Specifications include a 1.2W LED lamp, providing 280 lumens using a total of 24 Cree® SMD3030 LEDs at 5,500k. This fixture also features a pre-installed, large capacity LifePO4 lithium battery and also a 6.2W monocrystalline solar panel built into the top of the fixture, covered with a secure, high strength, polycarbonate cover. Weather resistant to IP65 and vandal/impact resistant to IK10. It also features an integral MPPT charge control system which enables the light to turn on automatically at dusk. The installer or end-user can select from one of four different operating modes using a remote control which is included. Once set, the chosen mode is stored in the memory. Lighting distribution is outwards and downwards to the ground up to around 26' (8M) diameter and about 300 degrees. This outdoor solar bollard light is Dark Sky Approved and IDA Certified, thereby not a contributor to light pollution. The only solar powered bollard light in the world that is Dark Skies Approved and IDA Certified. Choice of LED color temperature. Choose from either daylight white (5,500k) or warm white (3,000k).. Color of product is black. Sold as a single unit.

Our BC30 solar powered bollard is perfect for entrances, parking lots, mailbox areas, HOA's and subdivisions, walkways, and driveways etc. May be used in either a residential or commercial environment. Once an operating mode has been selected it is held in the memory.
Mode 1 - 100% output for 2hrs, then 30% output for 5hrs & 70% output upon motion detection, then 10~20% output until dawn & 40% output upon motion detection. This is the factory default mode.
Mode 2 - Automatically on at dusk at 25% output until dawn.
Mode 3 - Off at night with 100% output upon motion detection.
Mode 4 - On at dusk 25% output until dawn & 100% output upon motion detection.
Dusk to dawn operation is the factory default time.
The installer or end-user can reduce the nightly illumination time down to 12 hours or 4 hours instead.
Mode 4 is a more conservative operating mode and is therefore recommended for northern USA states and/or for less favorable geographic locations.

Typical charge time is up to 4.5 hours.

Solar Panel
High quality, integrated, monocrystalline 6.2W 5V solar panel.
Solar cell efficiency > 22.5%.
Typical lifespan > 20 years.
The solar panel is neatly set into the top section of the bollard fixture and protected by clear polycarbonate.

Installation
Easily installed onto almost any horizontal, solid surface such as concrete, asphalt, wood, paver etc.
Installation time is usually less than 5 minutes per bollard.
The internal base section detaches from the main body of the board with special discrete security screws.
The base section has pre-drilled holes for screw-down or bolt-down installation.
The main body of the bollard attaches over the top of the base with a threaded and discrete security bolted connection so that it is complete hidden and inaccessible.
The upper (lampshade) section also has a threaded and discrete security bolted connection to the main body section.
Spacing is at the owner/installer's discretion. Ideally, anywhere from 10' (3M) to 33' (10M) apart (subject to any specific requirements).

With valid warranty registration, this fixture is offered with a 24 month warranty (excluding battery), in accordance with our Terms, Conditions, and Policies.

Please Note:
This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced. The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
