BC20 Solar LED Bollard Light

This professional, commercial grade, vandal resistant, solar LED bollard light is ideal for walkways, driveways, parking lots, public areas, sidewalks, trails, etc. As it's solar powered, there is no electrical connection required so it's easy to install almost anywhere. It's also programmable with a choice of several different operating modes.

This vandal resistant fixture is made from marine grade, cast aluminum (15/64" (6mm) thick) and powder coated with a black finish. It features a clear Lexan SLX polycarbonate lamp shade with is UV protected. It's designed and built typically for the more demanding applications and has the highest vandal resistant rating of any solar powered bollard on the market (IK10 rating). It's completely weatherproof with an IP66 rating. The main body section is 4" (10cm) diameter and the total height of this fixture is 36" (90cm). Designed for conventional flange mounting onto a flat, solid, horizontal surface. This bollard features a 6.2W monocrystalline solar panel that is neatly built into the upper section of the fixture. It also has an integrated microwave sensor to detect motion or activity within range. The LED lighting will operate automatically from dusk. The installer or end-user can select from several different operating modes (see specifications below) using the remote control supplied. Once a desired mode has been selected it is retained in the memory. This solar powered bollard is supplied with an integral, pre-installed, powerful lithium battery and MPPT charge controller and features a special battery management system allowing use in different geographic locations. Maximum LED power is 1.5W offering 280 lumens. The LED color temperature is daylight white (5,500k). Color of light output is white. Color of product is black. Sold as a single unit.

The installer or end-user can choose from several operating modes using the remote control supplied.
Once an operating mode has been selected it is held in the memory.
Mode 1 - 100% output for 2hrs, then 30% output for 5hrs & 70% output upon motion detection, then 10~20% output until dawn & 40% output upon motion detection. This is the factory default mode.
Mode 2 - Automatically on at dusk at 25% output until dawn.
Mode 3 - Off at night with 100% output upon motion detection.
Mode 4 - On at dusk 25% output until dawn & 100% output upon motion detection.
Dusk to dawn operation is the factory default time.
The installer or end-user can reduce the nightly illumination time down to 12 hours or 4 hours instead.
Mode 4 is a more conservative operating mode and is therefore recommended for northern USA states and/or for less favorable geographic locations.

Battery
Supplied with a pre-installed lithium (LIFEPO4) battery.
The lithium battery is 3.2V 12 A-Hr.
Typical lifespan is over 10 years and is replaceable.
Integrated MPPT charge controller.
Battery management system (BMS) feature.
Over load, over current, over temperature, over voltage, over charge and over discharge monitoring and protection.

Solar Panel
High quality 5V DC 6.2 Watt encapsulated monocrystalline solar panel.
The solar panel is set into the top section of the bollard fixture

Installation
The flange (surface) mount version is standard and will be supplied by default.
An option direct burial version is available but by special order only.
The flange mount version is easily installed onto almost any horizontal, solid surface such as concrete, asphalt, wood, paving etc.
Installation time is usually less than 5 minutes per bollard.
The base section of the bollard has pre-drilled holes for screw-down or bolt-down installation.
We recommend using stainless steel or galvanized steel expanding anchor bolts.

Remarks
With valid warranty registration, this fixture is offered with a 24 month warranty (excluding battery), in accordance with our Terms, Conditions, and Policies.

Please Note:
This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced. The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge. Although unlikely, we reserve the right to supply this product with any minor alterations or minor changes to the specifications (shown above by text description or by photographs) due to different supplies or product batches received, incorporating such product changes made by the manufacturer, without further notice.
