XP20 Solar LED String Light System

This professional, commercial grade, decorative LED light string is ideal for both residential and commercial applications or for installations where a high-end, professional solution is required. Ideal for Christmas, the festive holiday season, parties, or just general year-round outdoor accent lighting.

This very unique system is our own design and only available from us. This is a commercial-grade LED light string system. Supplied as a complete, stand-alone, self-contained system, it includes a long string of "festoon style" LED light bulbs. It's actually a full custom or semi-custom solution because you can choose your cord length, choose your LED bulb count, choose your bulbs colors, and we offer solutions where the bulb holders are at fixed positions (spaced evenly apart) or where the end-user or installer can select the exact positions at the time of installation. It can therefore be supplied as a totally configurable system. There is nothing out there that is solar powered that is anything like this. Multiple strings can be added together as one. Or several independent strings can be supplied that each connect to the system individually. The lighting will automatically illuminate at sunset and stay on dusk to dawn or for a pre-programmed amount of time. Illumination time options include dusk to dawn, single timed mode (on at dusk for x hours then turn off), or dual timed (on at dusk for x hours, then turn off, turn back on again for x hours before dawn). The lockable battery enclosure houses two, large capacity, 12V rechargeable batteries, and charge controller. The battery enclosure is fitted with outlets for the light strings to attach to (plug & play). The necessary solar panel size and battery capacity will depend on the quantity of light strings, desired illumination time, and the geographic location of the installation site. The solar panel can be located up to several feet away from the battery enclosure for maximum exposure. As with all solar lighting systems, the solar panel charges the batteries during the day so that the batteries can power the lighting at night. We provide different solar panels sizes (wattages) to suit the geographic location and the specifications of the system. This system is designed and built by us, to order. Custom solutions available upon request. Color of light output is warm white (3,000K), daylight white (5,000K). or RGB (multi-color). Specific LED colors can be ordered by special order (e.g. red only, blue only, green only, etc).

String along a fence, gate, patio, pergola, awning, etc. Great for decorating entrance areas, signs, garlands, etc. at gated communities, HOAs, sub-divisions, clubhouses, and such like. Perfect for use where electricity is unavailable, too cost prohibitive to install or where an eco-friendly solution to Christmas or accent lighting is required. Supplied as a low voltage, self-contained, stand-alone, 12V DC or 24V DC complete system.
System can be designed to operate for the hours required at night.
Choose from dusk to dawn, or a single timed mode (on at dusk for x hours then off), or a dual timed mode (on at dusk for x hours, then off, then back on again for x hours before dawn).
Up to 24 hours of autonomy subject to time length of night time illumination.
This is a custom system, designed and made to order, by Solar Illuminations.
A system can be expanded to meet customer or project requirements.

Light Fixture
A string of multiple LED bulbs.
The length can be ordered as required.
Typical lengths are 20', 30', 40', 50', 75', and 100'.
You can select the LED bulb quantity.
Choose from 5 to 50 LED light bulbs, or more.
LED bulb spacing can be custom, if required.
Up to two light strings can be connected together to create one.
Up to four light strings can be supplied and connected onto one system.
Choice of 3,000K (warm white), 5,000k (daylight white), or RGB (multi-color).
Specific LED colored bulbs are available by special order e.g. all red, all blue, all green, etc.
LED mode is constant on.
Flashing, twinkling, pulsing and other modes are available by special order.
Each light bulb string is supplied with an approximately 18' of cord before the LEDs begin on the string.
Additional cord is available to order.

Battery
This is a low voltage 12V or 24V DC system.
Two 12V sealed lead acid batteries are included.
The battery size (capacity) is determined by the LED power, geographic location, and the nightly illumination time required.
Higher capacity batteries may be required for systems supplied with more than one light string.
Please contact our sales team for help determining the appropriate sized batteries for your system.
Batteries must be connected together in series for 24V systems and in parallel for 12V systems.

Battery Box
A lockable battery enclosure is supplied to accommodate the batteries, and charge controller.
The battery box has a hinged lid which is lockable (padlock not included).
The battery box has sockets for the lights, and solar panel to connect to.
The battery box is typically approx. 13" x 9.88" x 8.88" (33cm x 25cm x 22.5cm) LxWxD.
Dimensions including lid over-hang are approx. 15.75” x 9.88” x 8.88” (40cm x 25cm x 22.5cm).

Solar Panel
Supplied with an aluminum framed solar panel.
The size (wattage) of the solar panel is determined by the total LED power (LED bulb count), the geographic location, and the nightly illumination time required.
Higher powered solar panels will be required for systems supplied with more than one light string.

Supplied with approximately 18' of cable to connect directly to the battery enclosure.
Additional cord made be supplied with the solar panel, by order.
Two mounting triangles are included to allow the solar panel to attach to a vertical or horizontal surface.
A solar panel should be installed facing as south as possible with no shade or part shade.

Control Module
Supplied with a MPPT charge controller which automatically controls the solar panel power, battery charging and lighting function and operation.
Ultra fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).
The MPPT charge controller is typically 30% more efficient than standard PWM controllers and 10% more efficient to most other MPPT controllers.
Additional efficiency for cloudy weather and during times of reduced sun radiation.
This controller features the very latest smart technology.
Provides extended battery life and extra protection against excessive battery discharge and overcharge.
Battery life algorithm operates 24/7.
Low voltage detection for automatic disconnect.
Continuous environment, input and output power management.
The controller is sized to the system specifications with 10A and 15A versions available (subject to solar panel wattage and battery capacity).
Pre-programmed software for load output, dusk to dawn lighting, single timed lighting, dual timed lighting, dimming option and the ability of interfacing with motion detection, where required.
This MPPT charge controller is programmed by Solar Illuminations as per your requirements and system ability.
Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Supports real time data monitoring (iPhone, Android, Mac or PC) with optional interface and/or Bluetooth dongle.
Battery voltage 12/24V dc auto select.

Installation
Easy to install. All connections are simply plug & play.
A pair of triangle shaped support frames are supplied for the solar panel.
Solar panel should face south, in a location that receives direct sunlight throughout the day.
Shading of the solar panel will affect system performance.

Upon registration, 20 year solar panel warranty, 10 year warranty on all other components (excluding batteries). Batteries are covered by the manufacturer*.
Additionally, unlimited, lifetime technical support is available for all warranty registrations.

Please Note: This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge. Although unlikely, we reserve the right to supply this product with any minor alterations or minor changes to the specifications (shown above by text description or by photographs) due to different supplies or product batches received, incorporating such product changes made by the manufacturer, without further notice.
