Solar Illuminations offers a solar powered gooseneck sign light system that can be used to illuminate signs without the need for mains powered electric. Our plug and play systems are easy to install and be fitted in any location with direct view of the sun.
This system is designed and built by Solar Illuminations to order as a custom or semi-custom system, as per your requirements. This includes the nightly illumination time.
This solar-powered gooseneck outdoor lighting for signage is supplied with between one and four gooseneck light fixtures, with the option of additional lights to be added upon request. The quantity of lights necessary will depend on the size and design of the sign or store front. Refer to the zone map and system options table to determine the appropriate system for you and your location. Each light fixture is supplied with a 3 Watt 300 lumen LED light bulb, along with an optional extension arm and adjustable angle lamp shade. The kit consists of the led sign lighting fixture, solar panel, batteries, weather-proof battery enclosure, MPPT charge controller, necessary cables and solar panel mounting hardware. The lamp shade on the gooseneck light fixture can be adjusted to a desired angle and tightened into place. An included extension arm can be added to the light arm, extending the light fixture by an additional 12 inches. The size of the solar panel and batteries required for your system varies based on the installation location, quantity of light fixtures, and desired illumination time. Illumination time options include dusk to dawn, 8 hours, or any other desired duration. Each light can illuminate a sign up to 10' x 10' (3m x 3m).
Illumination time options include dusk to dawn or 8 hours.
Other nightly illumination times are available upon request.

Light Fixture
One, two three, or four solar-powered traditional (goose neck) outdoor lighting fixtures included.
Each light is fitted with a 3W, 300 lumen LED bulb
LED beam angle is approx. 60 degrees.
LEDs are white, 6,000k.
Black colored finish of light fixture.
Angle of lampshade can be adjusted and locked into place.
The light can be attached to almost any vertical surface (such as a wall or sign).
The light is fitted with approximately 18' (5.5m) pre-plugged cable.
Additional extension cable is available (upon request) as an option.
The length of the arm of the light fixture is approx. 19" (48cm).
Included extension arm can be added to add an additional 12" to light arm.
The diameter of the base of the light is approx. 5" (13cm).
The diameter of the lamp head is approx. 10" (25cm).
Battery
12V DC System.
One or two high capacity 12 Volt AGM batteries are supplied.
Battery size/capacity will vary based on quantity of lights, and desired illumination time.
Batteries supplied can be one or two 18Ah, 32Ah, 55Ah, 79Ah, or 92Ah.
Gel and lithium batteries are available by special order.
Battery Box
Supplied with a weather proof battery enclosure.
Size and model of battery enclosure depends on batteries required.
Battery enclosure options include BE02 & BE03.
Battery enclosures are lockable with the use of a padlock (not included).
Outlets are installed on enclosures for “plug & play” connections.
BE02 & BE03 are constructed from galvanized steel, with a gray painted finish.

Solar Panel
Supplied with an aluminum framed glass faced solar panel.
Solar panel size and power (Wattage) varies depending on light power, and installation location.
Solar panel(s) are supplied with a pair of mounting triangles for mounting on to flat horizontal or vertical surfaces.
Panel Wattage options include 20W, 45W, 70W, 90W, 100, 140W, or 240W.

Control Module
Supplied with a MPPT charge controller which automatically controls the solar panel power, battery charging and lighting function and operation.
An optional Bluetooth dongle can be purchased to allow access to the charge controller history and programming options.
Additional efficiency for cloudy weather and during times of reduced sun radiation.
Provides extended battery life and extra protection against excessive battery discharge and overcharge.
Pre-programmed software for load output, dusk to dawn lighting, single timed lighting, dual timed lighting, dimming option and the ability of interfacing with motion detection, where required.
This MPPT charge controller is programmed by Solar Illuminations as per your requirements and system ability.
Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Dimming option (where applicable) allows the lighting to dim at any time during the illumination time.
Operating temperature is -22 deg. F (-30 deg. C) to 140 deg. F (+60 deg. C).
Installation
All connections are simply plug & play.
Solar panel must be installed facing south, and in direct view of the sun.
Solar panel should be set at an angle 15 degrees plus installation location latitude.

This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced. The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
