This system is designed and built by Solar Illuminations to order as a custom or semi-custom system, as per your requirements. This includes the nightly illumination time.
This solar sign light system may be an ideal choice for internally lighting a sign cabinet. The system is designed and built to suit the size of the sign, the geographic location, and the hours or times that the sign needs to be lit at night. One or more 24V DC LED light fixtures are included. These are available in 12", 24", 36", or 48" lengths. LED power is 2W per 12" length. The fixture offers a high CRI, a very wide beam angle of 120 degrees and a very high lumen output of 200 lumens per watt (lm/w). That means the 12" version, with 2W LED power, provides 400 lumens and the 48" version, with 8W LED power, provides 1,600 lumens. Each low-profile fixture is fitted with a frosted dome lampshade which allows the lighting to be smooth and uniform helping eliminate hotspots. 5,000k LED color temperature is standard but 3,000k warm white and 4,000k are also available. The fixture is dimmable so the LED power and lumen output can be adjusted accordingly. Each fixture is pre-wired with plenty of cord and they can be ordered with daisy chain connectors to enable a continuous line of connected fixtures. This solar powered sign light system should be able to be installed easily into almost any type of sign cabinet. The fixtures can attach using strong 3M VHB double sided adhesive tape. The system can be programmed to automatically operate from dusk to dawn, or on a single timed mode for x amount of hours after dusk. Or perhaps a dual timed mode, turning on for x amount of hours after dusk, then off, then back on again for x amount of hours before dawn. We determine the size (wattage) of the solar panel and also the battery capacities required based on several factors including the total LED wattage, the nightly hours of illumination, and the geographic location of the sign. This is how a true, professional sign lighting system is configured. Each system is built to order to meet customer requirements.

Battery
24 Volt DC system.
A pair of deep cycle, AGM 12V batteries are included.
Battery capacity is subject to several factors including total LED power, nightly illumination time, and geographic location of the site, etc.
Battery capacity options are 18AH, 32AH, 55AH, 79AH, 92AH, 105AH etc.
GEL and lithium batteries are available as an option.
Battery Box
Supplied with outdoor rated, weather proof battery enclosure.
Size and model of battery enclosure varies based on batteries supplied.
Battery enclosure options include BE01, BE02, & BE03.
All battery enclosures are lockable with the use of a padlock (not included).
Outlets are installed on enclosures for “plug & play” connections.
BE02 & BE03 are constructed from galvanized steel, with a gray painted finish.
BE01 is plastic construction but a metal version is available by special order.

Each solar panel is includes approx. 9 feet of cable. Additional cord is available as an optional extra.
The solar panel cable connects directly to the battery enclosure.
20 Watt solar panel support is supplied with a fold-out 'U' shape bracket which can be used to mount it to a suitable surface.
45 Watt and higher solar panels are supplied with mounting triangles.

Control Module
Supplied with a MPPT charge controller which automatically controls the solar panel power, battery charging and lighting function and operation.
An optional Bluetooth dongle can be purchased to allow access to the charge controller history and programming options.
Ultra fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).
The MPPT charge controller is typically 30% more efficient than standard PWM controllers and 10% more efficient to most other MPPT controllers.
Additional efficiency for cloudy weather and during times of reduced sun radiation.
Provides extended battery life and extra protection against excessive battery discharge and overcharge.
Low voltage detection for automatic disconnect.
Pre-programmed software for load output, dusk to dawn lighting, single timed lighting, dual timed lighting, dimming option and the ability of interfacing with motion detection, where required.
This MPPT charge controller is programmed by Solar Illuminations as per your requirements and system ability.
Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Dimming option (where applicable) allows the lighting to dim at any time during the
illumination time.

Installation

This product is a special order and is non-returnable except in the event of a fault (during its warranty period) when the product, once returned will be repaired or replaced. The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge.
