Our superior lighting kit enables up to 300 Watts of LED lighting to be added to this system across four lighting zones. This kit includes a 140W solar panel, batteries, battery box, remote controls and a MPPT charge controller. The light fixtures are not included and you must choose from our large selection below (see HL product codes).
Our indoor lighting system is a complete kit that comes with everything you are likely to need, excluding the light fixture. We offer three different indoor lighting systems or kits. This is the superior kit. Once you have your selected a kit you can purchase one or more light fixtures to add to that kit. The light fixtures are sold separately as individual fixtures so that you can chose exactly what type, style and color of light fixture you want. You can also chose how many light fixtures you want (depending upon the total wattage that you kit will allow). This superior kit allows up to about 300 watts of lighting. It all depends how many light fixtures you will be using at one time and/or the total wattage of all the lights bulbs that will be connected to this kit. This lighting system comes complete with a solar panel, battery box, batteries, charge control module and remote controls. You will use the remote control to turn your lights on or off. The superior lighting kit is an eight lighting zone system. You can control each zone independently with the remote control. The battery box can be installed indoors or outdoors. If installed outdoors it can be wall mounted, post or pole mounted or possibly mounted on the ground (on a large paver or concrete pad). The battery box can be installed indoors in a closet, utility room, attic, or behind or under furniture. The light fixtures and solar panel come with plenty of cord and simply plug into the battery box. The battery box houses the battery which is charged by the solar panel during the daytime. The solar panel must be located outside where it can get full direct sunshine. It can be mounted on the roof or on a wall. Support brackets are included to do both. We offer dozens of different light fixtures that will connect to this lighting system. These include wall lamps, sconces, pendant lights, desk lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, ceiling lights, down-lights, chandeliers and more. The light fixtures can be switched on and off with the remote control any time of the day or night.

This system is capable of operating one or more LED lamps for up to several hours each night (subject to the quantity of lamps connected and/or the wattage of the lamps connected).
For a maximum, daily, continuous illumination time of 2 hours up to approx. 300W of LED lighting can be used total, for all lighting zones combined.
For a maximum, daily, continuous illumination time of 4 hours up to approx. 150W of LED lighting can be used total, for all lighting zones combined.
For a maximum, daily, continuous illumination time of 6 hours up to approx. 100W of LED lighting can be used total, for all lighting zones combined.
Please note, Wattage is a measurement of power and not light output. Light output is measured in Lumens. LED lighting uses very little Wattage but can provide a very high Lumen output. This ratio of Lumens per Watt is ideal where the Lumen value is high and the Wattage is low.

You can only use a light fixture selected from the choice offered by Solar Illuminations.
A hand held 8-channel remote control is included to control all lighting zones independently.
The remote control allows the user to switch the lights on or off.
Additional remote controls are available (if required) as an optional extra.
An 8-channel receiver unit is included (channel 1 = lighting zone 1, channel 2 = lighting zone 2 with the same applying to lighting zones 3 through to 8).
All LED lights that are connected to lighting zone 1 will turn on or off together. All LED lights that are connected to lighting zone 2 will turn on or off together. The same applies to lighting zones 3 through to 8.
This is a 12 Volt DC system.
Two 12 Volt 79 Ah sealed lead acid batteries are supplied.
Battery type is AGM. Gel batteries are available by special order.
Batteries must be connected together in parallel (to increase capacity).

A lockable battery box is supplied to accommodate the batteries.
The battery box can be used or installed indoors or outdoors. It may also be installed in a garage or in the attic or roof space.
The battery box has a hinged lid which is lockable (padlock not included).
The battery box has an integral battery shelf and also houses the MPPT charge controller and the 2-channel receiver unit.
The battery box also has a receptacle (socket) for each light fixture or lighting zone to be connected.

Lighting control features illumination from dusk to dawn (where applicable), or on at dusk for X amount of hours then off, or on at dusk for X amount of hours, then off, then back on again for X amount of hours before dawn.
Dimming option (where applicable) allows the lighting to dim at any time during the illumination time.
The dimming option or any other illumination mode can be used in conjunction with motion activation (where applicable).
Dimming may be at any percentage from 1-99%.

Please note: Upon installation and power-up the controller goes into a 7 day evaluation mode where smart monitoring and configurations commence. Additional evaluation with self-managing adjustments may continue for up to 7 more days. This is all part of the smart feature that enables this intelligent controller to understand its use, the application, the surrounding environment and the current conditions. During this time some of its programmed features may differ temporarily. This is a perfectly normal process and must be accepted during that time. During this time the controller will adjust to the current condition and charge status of the batteries. It is therefore recommended that all batteries are 100% fully charged before connection using an appropriate battery charger. This may significantly reduce the evaluation mode time of 7+7 days to much less. The solar panel(s) should be connected to the MPPT charge controller first, followed by the fully charged batteries.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). The solar panel must not be installed in a shaded or part shaded location and never indoors. The standard specifications of the system (particularly the solar panel Wattage and battery capacity) may need to be adjusted. These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. Such changes to the standard specifications may increase or decrease the cost shown. Please contact us for more information or assistance. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the product as being ‘defective’ or ‘not as described’. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the product as being 'defective' or 'not as described'. Please note, if you do not install or use this product for several months the battery may discharge naturally on its own. By allowing a battery to deep discharge it may cause irreversible damage as the battery may then lose the ability to recharge or hold a full charge. Although unlikely, we reserve the right to supply this product with any minor alterations or minor changes to the specifications (shown above by text description or by photographs) due to different supplies or product batches received, incorporating such product changes made by the manufacturer, without further notice.
