This unique system comprises of three traditional style (goose neck) light fixtures which are each supplied with a super bright LED bulb providing an approximate 60 degree beam spread. An additional light fixture may be added to this system as an option. The lights will automatically activate at dusk will typically run to dawn with three lights in use. For installations in locations that experience harsh winter weather, or low sun levels, a higher powered solar panel and/or an MPPT charge controller may be required. This system is supplied with a PWM programmable charge controller to enable the installer to set the illumination time (typically dusk to dawn or for any other amount of time). Several programmable timed options are available. An MPPT charge controller can be purchased as an optional upgrade. The MPPT charge controller improves solar charging efficiency, and offers addition light control features including a dual timer setting. The kit is supplied with a 70 Watt solar panel which can be installed on the sign structure or nearby. A lockable battery box is included to facilitate the two 12V batteries which is recharged daily via the solar panel. The light fixtures come pre-wired with plenty of cord with simple connections that plug into the battery box. The LEDs in the light fixture typically last for up to 20 years so there are no bulb changes. Color of the lamp is black. Color of other parts of the system are gray. Color of light output is white.
This style of light is perfect for restaurant signs, storefronts, and traditional hanging signs. Our solar LED sign light systems are perfect for sites where electricity is unavailable or where it would be too difficult or too costly to install an electric supply. They are also suitable for retro-fit applications where electrically powered fixtures are being removed in an effort to save money and no longer use the utility supply.

Please note: Upon installation and power-up the controller goes into a 7 day evaluation mode where smart monitoring and configurations commence. Additional evaluation with self-managing adjustments may continue for up to 7 more days. This is all part of the smart feature that enables this intelligent controller to understand its use, the application, the surrounding environment and the current conditions. During this time some of its programmed features may differ temporarily. This is a perfectly normal process and must be accepted during that time. During this time the controller will adjust to the current condition and charge status of the batteries. It is therefore recommended that all batteries are 100% fully charged before connection using an appropriate battery charger. This may significantly reduce the evaluation mode time of 7+7 days to much less. The solar panel(s) should be connected to the MPPT charge controller first, followed by the fully charged batteries.

The solar panel must be installed in a location where it can receive full direct sunshine (when available) and usually set facing South at an appropriate angle (where adjustment options allow). These components are determined by your geographic location, power consumption (LED Wattage) and the total amount of hours of illumination time required. The illumination time is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc. The illumination time of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate.
