The most important feature we wanted to ensure, was dusk to dawn illumination. Therefore we incorporated a powerful, but compact, solar panel and a high capacity battery all contained in a neat, weatherproof controller box, which has a removeable ground spike. In most applications these lights should run dusk to dawn after a full charge. In fact, after a full charge, during our tests, they were still functioning over 100 hours later without seeing any sunshine. These are probably the best solar string lights you will find so order your set now! The 200 LED bulbs never need replacing. If you need fewer LED bulbs then consider our XP03 product instead.They automatically illuminate at dusk and switch off at dawn and come on an approximate 73' dark green colored cord. The controller allows several different modes, such as slow twinkle, fast twinkle, all on, slow sequence, fast sequence, reverse sequence etc. Available in sets with three color choices, choose from a set of all white or a set of all warm white. Solar powered string lights are not inter-connectable and not joinable for obvious reasons.
The battery is recharged every day from sunlight and is typically enough to allow the lights to illuminate from dusk to dawn in most locations.
If the battery is ever allowed to completely discharge, then it can take several days to fully recharge. This could happen if stored and left switched on. However with normal daily charging and use, a total discharge situation is not possible.
If stored for long periods of time, we recommend that the fixture is switched off and the battery is allowed to full charge from time-to-time with full sun exposure to ensure a good battery charge (float) level and to prevent deep discharge, while stored.
Time length of night time illumination is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc.
Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the fixture as being defective or define the fixture as being advertised incorrectly.
We advertise and supply our solar lights to customers all over the world are therefore, naturally, we are unable to guarantee the nightly illumination time as it can vary and any time stated is quoted as 'up to' x amount hours.

All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the fixture as being defective.
NOTE: This product is a festive item and is non-returnable unless in the event of a warranty claim after which, when verified, will be repaired or replaced only. All sales are final on this item.

The control box has two switches. One switch is the auto/mode switch. The other switch is the on/off switch.
Instructions are supplied with this fixture, which is very simple to operate. Both switches must be in the off (O) position before use.
The mode/auto switch must be turned to the on (I) position first, BEFORE turning the on/off switch to the on (I) position.
Once the lights are cycling through the different mode options (lighting patterns) the mode switch can be set to off (O) position to lock that desired mode (lighting pattern).
If this procedure is not followed correctly, then the LED bulbs will not illuminate because the mode switch has to be switched on (I) BEFORE the on/off switch is switched on (I).
Should the user fail to follow the operating instructions correctly, this does not define the fixture to be defective. This would be 'user' error only.
Following the instructions supplied and notes above, the fixture will operate normally as it is designed to do.
