This, heavy duty, commercial grade, weatherproof, multi-purpose solar light is made exclusively by Solar Illuminations and has 45 super bright LED light bulbs which provide a light output of 270 Lumens (equal to about 60-75 watts). Fully automatic activation (on at dusk and off at dawn). The fact that this light can attach directly to a flag pole is the first such design in the world to allow this and it was designed by Solar Illuminations. The solar cell panel can be situated next to the light fixture or at a distance of up to several feet away. The solar panel incorporates a support bracket to allow installation to a solid vertical or horizontal surface. The rechargeable battery is included. It is contained inside the fixture and only needs replacing every year or two. This solar powered fixture is ideal for lighting up driveways, walkways, yards and other open areas. Use as a security light or outdoor light to illuminate a patio, deck or grill area. There are dozens of applications where this compact light can be used. Installation is very simple. Can also be used to illuminate signs, flag poles, trees, landscaping and buildings. The fixture incorporates a main light body consisting of 45 super bright LED bulbs (made by Cree®) and angle/tilt adjustment with the attached support bracket. Naturally, the darker the location the more effective and noticeable the illumination will be. The LED's typically last for 22 years so there are no bulb changes. Provides illumination to the extent of what a 60-75 watt light fixture can afford. It can be clamped onto a pole using our clamp attachment (product code FL02) and therefore enables the fixture to be positioned almost at any height, if necessary. Naturally there is a limitation with the maximum intensity any solar powered (battery operated) light fixture can provide. This fixture is offered with a choice of solar panels. The wattage of the solar panel does not affect the illumination brightness It is the solar panel that converts sunshine into electricity to recharge the battery each day. We therefore recommend that the 6 Watt solar panel should only be used in locations that generally receive a good level of year-round sunshine. The 6 Watt solar panel should only be used in the most Southern US states and also in South America, Southern Europe, Africa, Australasia and Southern Asia. The 7 Watt should be used in geographic locations where there is less annual sunshine. The 10 Watt solar panel should be used where there is limited sunshine. For the most demanding applications, where the maximum performance is required from this fixture, the 10 Watt solar panel is recommended regardless of geographic location. The innovative fixture also incorporates a switch for manual on/off setting and a photocell (light sensor) which automatically activates the light when it becomes dark and deactives the light during the day time. The solar panel has a fold-out 'U shaped' steel support bracket which folds out from the aluminum frame of the solar panel and therefore is approx. 14" long and approx. 1/4" wide and when fully folded out it will protrude approx. 4".
The fold-out solar panel bracket can be drilled to allow it to be fixed to a vertical or horizontal surface and can be positioned so that the correct tilt angle to the sky can be set.
Time length of night time illumination is estimated and subject to various factors including (but not limited to) geographic location, seasons, temperature, weather conditions & location of product etc.
Shorter illumination time due to one or more of the above factors does not define the fixture as being defective or define the fixture as being advertised incorrectly.

All solar lights must be used in a completely dark location at night time otherwise they may not illuminate. Nearby strong lighting sources or ambient lighting may affect the operation of a solar light. This does not define the fixture as being defective or 'not as described'.
Naturally, the illumination duration (light-up time) of most solar lights can reduce during winter months when the weather is poor and the days are shorter. During this time insolation hours decrease accordingly. This does not define the fixture as being defective or 'not as described'.
A higher wattage solar panel is always recommended over a lower wattage as it will be more efficient at recharging the battery and therefore helping to increase the illumination time.
The required level of illumination for a sign or general area can vary from customer to customer. Each customer may have their own requirements and expectations. Therefore the information provided here shall be used only as a guide. For applications where more intense lighting is required on a sign, or in a general area, more than one fixture may be required. Likewise, for locations where there is already a large amount of ambient lighting, to illuminate a sign or general area more visibly, more intense lighting may be required to overcome the ambient light levels. Therefore more than one fixture may be required.
